Five men stand around a wooden crate or frame on a table. A man in a white shirt on the left measures the wood with a yellow tape measure while a man in an orange robe with long dark hair and a wrapped orange cloth looks down at the work. Another man in orange with a gold necklace stands at right beside a younger man in white with an orange-yellow shawl and gold chain. Wall panels behind read Vedic Rituals and Ceremonies and Sacred Arts Preservation. A small brass vase sits on the shelf.November 15 To 19 2007 - At Kailasa In LosAngelesA photograph of a room with plain white cinder-block walls where people are unpacking wooden crates with packing material. Around him a man in white with an orange shawl leans over a crate, a woman in orange kneels at a crate, another man in a dark shirt works at a crate, and a blonde woman in black stands at right. Behind them a bald man in orange robes stands beside a painted statue wearing a gold crown, and a deity figure with a gold halo stands in pink and green garments near the wall.2007-11-07Two-panel photo collage of a temple-like ritual space with a wooden crate shrine. In the top panel, a figure in long orange robes with long dark hair reaches toward a white seated statue inside a wooden niche, while a man in white dhoti and an orange shawl stands nearby and a camera operator is visible at left. A lower panel shows the same orange-robed figure extending a hand with flower petals toward the white seated figure in a wooden shrine box, with a bowl of flowers held by a white-clad attendant at right and an orange-and-gold banner at top. The orange-robed figure shows distinctive long hair and orange robes, but the appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to confirm identity, so the figure is described by role as a devotee performing the offering.2010-08-11Photograph inside a thatched, open-sided shed where a group stands among stone and bronze sculptures on a concrete floor. At left, a man with long dark hair wears an orange robe with a rudraksha mala and smiles as he looks down at the sculptures. Beside him, a figure in orange and a yellow garment stands near a wooden post, and a man in an orange turban and orange robe gestures with one hand. Behind them, bearded men in orange robes and orange turbans stand with men in white shirts and dhotis. At right, a bearded man in a white robe with an orange shawl and a mala stands with hands folded, while another man in white with an orange scarf stands further right. Carved stone figures and fragments lie on the floor in the foreground, with a bronze figure at lower left.2007-08-09September 20 20062006-09-20
