At the top, a golden-brown coconut dressed in gold cloth and a jewelled ornamental garland sits on a metal plate with green mango leaves. Below, a round brass tray holds a garland of red roses, white flowers and yellow marigolds, with a large banana leaf to the left. A tray of pink and red petals appears at the top edge. No people are visible. The arrangement suggests preparations for a puja or abhishekam offering.2017-08-16Close-up photograph of a silver thali tray heaped with mixed flowers: yellow marigold-type blooms, pink and magenta petals, green leaves and sprigs, and a white petal. A small silver cup sits at the left edge, and a brass vessel is partly visible at right. Blurred yellow flowers, white cloth and green leaves fill the background. No people are visible.2016-03-27A close photograph of a ritual offering arranged on a white-draped table outdoors. Large heaps of yellow marigold-type flowers, red celosia-style blooms and white flowers are bundled with green leaves and tied with a dry straw band. Silver bowls and a plate sit beside them, a peach-coloured fruit is at the left edge, and a lit oil lamp is visible at the top. A person in an orange garment stands at the right edge, partly cropped. No face of any person is clearly visible, so no identifiable a person appearance is shown.2011-01-16A photograph of a ritual table draped with striped woven cloth in purple, green and pink. In the foreground a small deity murti or kalasha-like form is dressed in a navy and gold brocade cloth, decorated with a silver-toned necklace and a long garland of yellow marigolds, with green leaves tucked at its top. Beside it sit a brass bowl of raw rice, a basket of mixed flowers in yellow, red and pink, and a metal tray holding strands of purple and blue beads. In the blurred background, people in white and cream clothing stand, and one person in a dark head covering bends forward, while more yellow garlands hang on pillars.2016-12-19
