September 04 20122012-09-04A photograph of an indoor ritual in a plain white-walled room. A man in saffron-orange robes and a long gold-bead necklace holds a lit oil lamp with a large flame and smoke, with a white horizontal tilak on his forehead. A seated woman with blonde hair in a dark top and red-orange shawl watches with folded arms. Other devotees in white and orange sit along the left edge, a few with hands joined.2012-09-04September 04 20122012-09-04A man in a saffron-orange robe and a long gold bead necklace with a pendant stands at the right, long dark hair swept back, holding a silver bowl and an ornate silver arati lamp with a lit flame over a group of seated devotees. Several seated women in saris, shawls and jewellery sit with hands pressed in anjali, while men stand against a white wall behind them with framed landscape art and hanging greenery. The scene is an arati offering inside a meeting hall. Swamiji (probable): the robed figure with long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and gold necklace is performing the arati, which fits the page's description of Maha Arathi.2006-05-21November 18 20152015-11-18September 04 20122012-09-04September 05 20122012-09-05September 09 20122012-09-09March 18 20142014-03-18August 26th 20152015-08-26November 18 20152015-11-18A photograph of a ritual arati in an indoor hall. A standing figure in an orange saffron robe, long dark swept-back hair, a red tilak mark, gold ornamental necklaces and bangles holds a lit flaming camphor lamp in one hand and a silver bell in the other. Seated and standing devotees fill the room, many with hands folded in prayer, some in white and colourful saris, some wearing rudraksha malas. Framed devotional paintings and flower garlands decorate the walls. Probable Swamiji is the central figure performing the arati; the orange robe, long hair, gold necklaces and bangles are the qualifying cues.2006-05-21
