September 19 20162016-09-19Photograph of a large stepped courtyard tank with a black stone Shivalinga rising from a pedestal in the centre of brown water. Red flags with saffron and orange emblems line the left side, and red-and-white railings border the steps. Several people in saffron and orange robes stand on the steps and near the tank edge, while others in white clothes move along the far steps. A black Nandi with a garland sits at the right corner, with brass vessels nearby. A red-brick multi-storey building and trees stand behind under a partly cloudy sky.2016-09-19September 19 20162016-09-19Photo 11705324November 22 20162016-11-22July 31 20172017-07-31July 31 20172017-07-31June 05 20132013-06-05Photo 11743391Wide photograph of an outdoor courtyard ritual at a stepped tank with a large black stone Shiva lingam on a platform in the centre of still brown water. Rows of smaller stone lingams with round bases line the steps in the foreground. Red and orange flags stand along the railings. A woman in a yellow sari stands at the water's edge near the steps, and a man in orange robes stands at the far left beside a bare-chested priest in a white dhoti. Several people in white clothes stand along the steps and walkways, with red-roofed buildings behind. Visible people appear in the scene, and the ritual seems to involve the lingams and the tank.2016-09-19October 16 20162016-10-16A large black Shiva linga stands on a circular red-tiled base in the middle of a reflecting pool, flanked by red-tiered stone steps on both sides. Several people in white dhotis and white clothing sit and stand along the left steps, with others on the stairs and at the far rim, some carrying small items. Ornamental yellow and orange cloth-wrapped decorations are placed on the linga base. A partially built multi-storey structure with exposed concrete and scaffolding rises behind, under a pale cloudy sky. This appears to be a linga abhishekam setting.2010-10-22 +1 copies
