A figure in a saffron-orange top and wrap, with long dark hair swept back, reaches up with both arms to adjust a garland of yellow and orange marigolds at the top of the pole. Nearby, men in white dhotis and yellow-and-white shoulder cloths stand around the platform, some holding garlands and offering trays with flowers and fruit. Palm trees, a thatched shelter with a metal roof, and orange-walled buildings surround the scene.2010-09-02Low-angle photo of an outdoor flagpole ritual. A tall carved wooden dhwaja stambha, wrapped with rope-like bands and topped with a small orange flag, rises against a partly cloudy blue sky with palm fronds at the right. A man in a flowing saffron-orange robe and a rudraksha mala stands at the base, holding the orange rope that runs up the pole. A second figure in orange-red cloth stands at the right edge, partly cropped. A carved figure is visible on the pole's base. A metal roof edge crosses the upper left corner.2010-10-18 +2 copiesSeptember 09 20162016-09-09January 11 20162016-01-11December 03 20162016-12-03October 03 20162016-10-03September 26 20162016-09-26October 18 20102010-10-18 +1 copies
