A photograph at sunrise or sunset in an outdoor temple courtyard lined with palm trees and large dark stone deity statues. In the foreground a woman with long curly dark hair in an orange sleeveless top faces away from the camera toward the scene. Behind her, several people in yellow and white garments sit on the ground near a smoky fire pit. Large stone sculptures of deities stand on either side, and a pale sun glows above a hazy skyline.2010-06-30June 30 20102010-06-30A man in the foreground wears an orange saffron cloth draped over his shoulders, with long dark hair swept back and a red tilak on his forehead, eyes closed in meditation. Behind him, a woman in white and orange sits with hands in her lap, and a woman in a yellow sari sits with a brass vessel before a stone sculpture of a multi-armed deity with a trident-like weapon. Sunlight glows through the haze at dawn among palm trees and large stone figures.2010-06-30June 30 20102010-06-30June 30 20102010-06-30June 30 20102010-06-30Outdoor temple courtyard with tall palms and a tall copper-clad flagstaff on a white pedestal. In the foreground a woman with long dark hair in an orange sleeveless top and orange skirt stands facing away toward the group. Around the courtyard many people in white and yellow sit cross-legged on circular mats in meditative posture. Near the flagstaff a figure in orange and yellow robes sits on the white platform. Smoke rises from a fire near the centre, and a small orange cushion lies on the ground. Stone statues line the left side and a small white shed sits at the back right. A man in white stands at the far right edge.2010-07-08A man in profile-facing pose stands in warm golden sunset light, eyes closed in a calm, meditative expression. He wears a saffron-orange sleeveless wrap over his shoulders, and his head is shaved. Behind him, silhouetted temple structures and sculpted forms stand against a glowing sky, with a white stone base or platform to the right. The backlit scene is blurred in the background, and the mood is contemplative.2010-06-29A photograph at sunrise or sunset of a long-haired figure in an orange-red shawl standing on open dusty ground. A bright sun glows behind bare trees and a low wall with utility poles. The figure has a light mark on the forehead and a shawl draped over the shoulders, with a strand of beads visible at the chest. Lens flare and a small bright orb appear in the foreground.2006-12-09Outdoor temple ritual at dusk. A figure in long wavy hair and an orange saffron robe stands barefoot with hands joined in front of a large black stone bull murti decorated with a white and yellow flower garland, positioned on a white stepped plinth. A small brass kalasha sits on the ground ahead. Nearby, a woman in white with a yellow shawl sits cross-legged beside a fire pit with flames, while two men in white clothing tend the blaze. Behind them stand dark stone deity statues, one with a trident, and tall palm trees, with a tiered brown stone spire rising at right. Smoke drifts across the scene, consistent with a homa or fire ritual.2010-07-11Outdoor photograph of a group of devotees seated on a sandy ground among large dark stone deity statues and palm trees, with a grey pigeon in the foreground on a white stone ledge. Six people sit in meditative posture: a woman in white and gold-bordered dress at left, a person in white with a rudraksha mala, a woman in orange with a white garment, a woman in a yellow shawl, a woman in a pink sari, and a person in white with yellow scarf at right. Behind them stand large grey stone statues including a multi-armed deity figure with a trident and a serpent-hooded form.2010-07-07A man stands on dusty ground at sunrise or sunset, backlit by a bright low sun behind unfinished pale concrete structures and bare trees. He has long, shoulder-length dark hair and a white horizontal mark across his forehead, wears an orange-saffron cloth draped over his shoulders and body, and a dark beaded rudraksha mala hangs at his chest. Scattered debris and loose earth fill the foreground, with a distant figure visible on a path at left. Appearance suggests a person candidate in saffron with rudraksha and long hair, though the figure is partly in silhouette.2006-12-09
