May 10 20152015-05-10A seated man on an ornate gold throne with carved floral backrest and arch, draped with a tiger-skin rug and dark red cushions, smiles while raising one hand in blessing and holding a pink flower. He wears a red-orange turban, a long garland of white and red flowers, layered beaded necklaces and gold jewellery, and an orange-red cloth. A bald priest in an orange-red dhoti and shawl with white sacred ash markings kneels at left, holding a metal vessel and a green leaf, performing a ritual offering beside a brass plate with yellow powder and a lamp in front of the throne. The setting is an outdoor evening scene with dark foliage behind. a person is identifiable by the turban, garland and ornate throne. Other people are visible at far left.2015-11-18A photograph of a ceremonial padapuja inside a richly decorated shrine. A man seated on an ornate gilded throne with a tiger-striped cushion wears a red-brown garment, a gold crown, a gold necklace and a white-and-red flower garland, with bangles on his arms. He smiles while a devotee in a white-and-orange sari bows low and touches his feet over a brass vessel draped in orange cloth. Another woman in a red shawl stands at the right, and a seated person in the lower left is partly visible. Brass oil lamps, a trident-topped staff, a gold umbrella and a carved deity murti in the background complete the scene.2016-05-24May 24 20162016-05-24February 27 20132013-02-27A seated man on an ornate gold throne with lion-head armrests and a tiger-striped cushion receives a ritual foot offering. He wears a rust-red robe, a gold crown, a gold necklace, a garland of white flowers with pink accents, and gold bangles. A devotee in a white shirt and red-and-gold shawl bends forward, hands on the rim of a copper basin, washing or touching his bare feet. Behind them are gold lamps and a red-draped side table with flowers. The seated figure has a candidate appearance matching the page's a person claim, with a crown, garland and gold ornaments, so the identification is probable.2016-05-24A photograph of a devotee in an orange-and-gold dhoti prostrating on the floor in front of an ornate gold throne (peetha) draped with a tiger-skin cloth and red velvet cushions. A small silver plate holding yellow turmeric or kumkum sits on a red mat before him, with a rudraksha mala on his wrist. Seated on the throne is a figure in a red turban and a white garland with a red-and-white flower garland, which I cannot confirm as a person from appearance alone; I describe the throne occupant only by role. Behind the throne is a standing fan and a white-and-red striped wall.2015-11-18November 22 20152015-11-22June 23 20172017-06-23May 24 20162016-05-24May 20 20142014-05-20Photo on a stage with a large golden throne backed by a carved stone deity relief with multiple arms, and potted green plants flanking it. A man with white hair and a white kurta bows low and touches the feet of a seated figure with long dark hair wearing a saffron-orange robe, an orange headwrap, and a rudraksha mala. The seated figure's sitting position on the ornate golden throne with red cushions, and the bowed devotee in white, match the event's honouring ritual, but the seated figure's face and identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone. A red carpet and a garland of gold flowers edge the stage.2016-05-06 +1 copies
