She holds a silver staff-like ritual rod in her other hand and a silver tray with a green leaf offering. Behind them stands a smiling shaved-headed monk in orange robes and, at right, another shaved-headed man in orange with a rudraksha mala. Red-painted lattice and carved wooden panels form the background.2014-01-13January 13 20142014-01-13A photo of a seated figure with bare upper body, a yellow-orange marigold garland with green leaves, and a gold-coloured tilak on the forehead, placing one hand on the head of a young man in an orange saffron robe and rudraksha mala. The young man stands with eyes lowered, hands raised to the sides of his face, in a warmly lit hall with a framed painting on the wall behind and a silver-toned staff beside them. A peacock-feather fan and gold ornament appear at the edge of the frame. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has long swept-back hair, a bare chest with a gold-coloured tilak, a marigold garland and a rudraksha mala, which are distinctive ceremonial cues, and is giving a blessing to the young man, who is a devotee or disciple.2014-05-14A photograph of two men in orange-red robes in an indoor ceremonial setting with red drapes behind them. On the left, a smiling man with long dark hair swept back, wearing a red-orange shawl, a gold beaded necklace and a red-and-gold bindi, extends his right arm to touch the forehead of a second man. The second man, with short dark hair, closes his eyes, wears a white forehead mark, an orange shawl, a gold bangle, and holds his hands together near his face. A silver staff topped with a ornate finial and a golden cobra-hooded object stand beside them, with a golden deity murti at the lower left.2014-07-24A photograph of a seated man on an ornately carved wooden throne wearing an orange-marigold garland and rust-red robes, holding a silver trident upright in his right hand. Two shaved-headed men in saffron-orange robes sit on the floor beside him; the nearer one clasps his hands, and the other, on the right, holds a silver staff and looks upward. Behind them are a wooden carved panel and a metal lattice window. The seated figure matches the a person candidate by long swept-back hair, a garland and ceremonial trident, but the appearance is uncertain, so this is a candidate only. Three physical people are visible.2014-01-13A dreadlocked man in saffron-orange robes and a long yellow-and-magenta flower garland stands on an orange-cushioned seat, with a rudraksha mala and a white vibhuti stripe on his forehead. Two men in orange clothing stand before him: one with long hair and rudraksha beads over an orange garment, and one bald in an orange shawl, who holds a brass vessel with offerings. Behind them hang a dark curtain, orange drapery and floral strings.2011-02-13A photograph of a seated man with long dark swept-back hair and an orange-and-white checked shawl over an orange robe, smiling and holding a silver trident with a yellow flower garland, in front of an ornate gold-framed shrine with a deity relief. Beside him a smiling young man in a saffron robe wears a heavy gold necklace and a pendant, and holds a gold kalasha-style vessel. A white bowl of grain sits in front, and a fabric backdrop with red floral garlands frames the scene. The seated man has distinctive long hair and ornate shawl cues, so he is described as Swamiji (probable), seated and receiving honour during a temple event.2009-07-07A photograph of a ceremonial exchange in a temple-style hall with red and white latticed screens. A man with long swept-back hair, a white tilak on his forehead, a red-orange cloth and a large gold ornamental necklace holds a golden ornate object shaped like a lion's head or kalasha-type vessel. Probable Swamiji (long swept-back hair, gold necklace and saffron-red robe) is presenting or handling the golden object. Opposite him, a shaven-headed man in white clothing with a red-patterned shawl and wristwatch raises his hand in a gesture of respect. A silver staff with a round finial stands between them.2014-08-27May 03 20142014-05-03
