December 28 20112011-12-28A photograph of a seated group of boys and young men performing a puja in a hall with red curtains. Many are sitting on mats before brass plates holding offerings, small oil lamps, and bowls, and several hold small brass bells or lamps. Some wear white dhoti-style clothing with shaved heads and vibhuti marks, while others wear casual shirts, an orange t-shirt, and a striped shirt. One young man in white at the right holds a brass bell and a lamp beside a rudraksha mala.2011-11-04November 06 20112011-11-06A large indoor hall where many children and adults sit cross-legged on mats in a group puja. In the foreground, boys in white, green, purple and checked shirts hold small brass vessels and kneel before brass oil lamps, bells and a golden nataraja-style ornament on the floor. A boy in white dhoti with white vibhuti on his forehead sits centrally, and a boy in a yellow-green shirt has a white forehead mark. Behind them, adults in white shirts with lanyards and a few in saffron/orange sashes sit on floor mats and red chairs. A wall display with framed pictures and a banner is visible at the upper right. The scene appears to be a devotional ritual or satsang.2012-04-29November 06 20112011-11-06November 07 20112011-11-07December 28 20112011-12-28A group of boys sits cross-legged on the floor of a plain ashram hall with light tiled flooring and mats, eating from leaf or steel plates placed on woven mats. Most wear casual clothes in orange, yellow, green and red stripes, plus checked and grey shirts; one older boy in front wears a white dhoti with a bare upper body and a thin sacred thread, and several have white tilak marks on their foreheads. Bananas and small bowls of food lie around them. A seated man in a white shirt watches from the back, and a white-clad figure is partly visible at the top left, with red curtains and a white plastic chair behind. The scene looks like a communal meal or annadan.2012-04-08December 12 20112011-12-12October 24 20122012-10-24September 07 20112011-09-07October 03 20112011-10-03
