A row of about fifteen to twenty people stands barefoot on a paved walkway in front of a terracotta-coloured building, many with palms pressed together in namaste. Most wear white kurta-style clothing, with some in saris, shawls and coloured scarves in blue, orange and red, and rudraksha-style red beaded malas around their necks. A tall signboard behind them carries a printed text panel and a portrait of a woman, and a Kannada-script sign on the building reads as a deity temple. No one is identifiable as a person in this crowd, and the setting suggests a satsang gathering outdoors.2010-12-19December 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesSeptember 26 20162016-09-26Outdoors on a dirt path beneath tall palm trees, a crowd of devotees stands with hands joined in namaskar and faces lifted upward, as if watching a ritual off-frame. Most women wear white or cream saris with orange shawls draped over their shoulders; one woman in the foreground wears an orange-and-maroon sari, and a woman at right wears a yellow shawl over white. Several men in white dhotis stand at the left and in the back rows. A red-and-white flag on a pole rises behind them, next to a low red-roofed building and white walls with green foliage.2010-10-18 +1 copiesJune 17 20092009-06-17 +1 copiesA photograph of a covered outdoor courtyard with a brick floor and palm trees behind, where a crowd of devotees stands with palms pressed together in namaskar. In the foreground, a woman with light blonde hair wears a white kurta and a beaded necklace. Beside her, a woman in a red blouse and deep orange saree stands with hands folded. Several women wear white and cream sarees or white kurtas, and a girl in a purple skirt kneels near the front. On the right, a drummer in a light shirt and dhoti plays a drum while other men in white and beige clothes stand with hands folded. The ritual appears to be a devotional gathering of devotees in prayer.2011-12-13A photograph of a line of devotees standing outdoors on a tiled courtyard in front of a red-orange temple wall, with a dark doorway behind them. Most wear white or cream traditional clothing: women in white saris with coloured borders, a man in a white shirt and white dhoti with a sacred thread, and a woman in white tunic and trousers. Several have palms pressed together in prayer or hands folded at the waist, and one woman in green patterned trousers and a green scarf stands at the right. A few have vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads. A golden ceremonial palanquin or decorated structure is visible at the far left edge. Some figures are partly cut off, and a few people are visible in the background near the doorway. The scene suggests a satsang or ritual gathering, though no one is clearly identified as a person.2013-03-10December 23 20102010-12-23January 15 20162016-01-15December 22 20122012-12-22May 02 20182018-05-02September 26 20162016-09-26
