September 16 20142014-09-16A large seated gathering of devotees in a hotel ballroom, mostly women dressed in white kurtas and white shawls with orange-red shawls or stoles over them. Many sit cross-legged on a patterned carpet, some with hands joined in namaste, others with eyes closed in meditation. Rudraksha malas hang at several necks. Plates of offerings and small food items sit on the floor in front, and water bottles and bags are placed among the participants. Some children are seated among the adults. Behind them, people in orange and white stand near pillars.
