Street scene beside a teal minivan at a roadside stop with palm trees and trees behind. A man in an orange turban and orange garment sits in the open van doorway, while a younger man in a dark shirt stands near the door. A crouching man in a green striped shirt and orange cloth bundles beside them, and a man in a white checked shirt and white dhoti stands at right holding a blue checked bag. Several onlookers and parked buses are in the background.2003-01-01November 14 20052005-11-14July 30 20112011-07-30Outdoor photograph beside a silver SUV with its driver-side door open on a dry, open field with sparse trees. A woman with long dark hair wears a saffron-orange sari-style wrap and stands at the open door, one hand resting on the vehicle while she speaks to a group of men and a woman gathered around. A man on the left wears white clothing and a beaded necklace, a man in a purple shirt and another in a blue check shirt stand close, a man in a white-striped shirt and checked lungi crouches near the ground, and a woman in a blue shawl stands at the right edge. Two cues are not enough to call the woman a person, so her identity is left uncertain; the photo shows a roadside meeting with villagers at a car.2006-09-23January 04 20122012-01-04Outdoor photograph of a procession on a dirt road beside white SUVs and trees. A man in an orange cloth draped over his shoulders, with long swept-back hair, rudraksha mala and a walking staff, walks at the centre under a bright orange umbrella, with a candidate for a person by his distinctive long hair, orange robes and mala. Around him walk devotees: a bare-chested young man in a white dhoti, a man in a red and orange shawl and orange-bordered dhoti, a bearded man in white with an orange shawl, and men in white kurtas with orange shawls.2006-11-27November 23 20062006-11-23Outdoor photo of an annadan food distribution. A long-haired figure in orange robes with a rudraksha mala sits on a blue mat, extending a hand to offer food from a metal vessel. Another orange-robed sannyasi kneels behind a large steel pot on a floor scattered with marigold petals. A bare-chested young man in a white dhoti with gold border and a rudraksha mala stands at right. Older men, a woman in white, and children reach forward to receive packets of food. Men in white shirts stand behind, and a woman in teal sits at the rear near a table with offerings.2012-01-03November 23 20062006-11-23July 27 20082008-07-27Outdoor photo of a group walking along a dirt path beside trees, with white SUVs parked behind them. Centre, a figure with long dark hair wears an orange saffron robe, a long rudraksha mala and carries a walking stick, shaded by an orange umbrella held by a man in white at right. Beside her, a bearded man wears an orange robe and orange shawl. Surrounding attendants wear white dhotis and white kurtas with orange shawls, and a bare-chested young man in a white dhoti walks at left. A cluster of people follows behind. Appearance cues for the central figure with flowing hair, saffron robe and rudraksha mala are distinctive enough to label the a person walking as an honoured guest.2006-11-27February 02 20102010-02-02
