A man in a saffron-orange turban, saffron-orange dhoti-style wrap and layered rudraksha malas raises one hand and places the other on the head of a young boy in a striped red-and-white shirt who bows with palms pressed together. Behind them, people in white and cream clothes queue and watch, a man in a beige shirt with a headset stands at left with hands folded, and a man in an orange garment with a metal tray stands at right. The seated figure has long swept-back dark hair and a rudraksha-style mala visible at the chest area; the scene reads as a prathyaksha pada puja or blessing ceremony. Behind them, several men in white kurta-style clothing stand with hands folded, and a second boy in white dhoti-style attire sits on red carpet nearby. A shiny metal vessel and fruit offerings sit in the foreground, with a red and gold backdrop and warm lights.2012-03-30October 29 20112011-10-29Photo of a blessing moment indoors. A figure in saffron-orange robes, an orange turban, long swept-back dark hair, multiple gold ornamental necklaces and rudraksha beads, and gold bangles raises a hand to bless the forehead of a young man in white clothes with a mala, whose hands are pressed together in namaste. Another man in white with hands folded bows nearby, and a man in an orange robe with a sacred thread stands at right. Several devotees stand in the background in white and red garments. Probable Swamiji (probable) is the orange-clad blessing figure, given the saffron robes, orange turban, long hair and ornate gold necklaces. Setting appears to be a hotel hall with soft lighting.2011-11-26
