July 15 20162016-07-15A riverbank immersion scene at a muddy water body with palms and a low wall behind. A woman with long dark wavy hair in an orange saree is seen from behind, holding a small brass pot and pouring water toward two floating clay images of deities lying on a wooden platform, one with a purple flower garland. Around her, men in saffron/orange robes stand on the bank; a bald man with glasses in an orange robe and shawl is clasping his hands, and a man in a white dhoti with an orange shawl and a mala holds a long bamboo staff. Colour powder smears on some faces and clothes. Petals and white cloth float on the water.2010-10-17October 17 20102010-10-17March 24 20142014-03-24February 10 20132013-02-10Photograph taken from a wooden boat on the Ganga at Varanasi. A long-haired man in saffron-orange draped clothing, with white forehead markings, a red bindi, rudraksha beads on his arm and waist, and a necklace of large pearl-like beads, sits on the boat's flower-strewn edge looking toward the riverfront. The boat rail is blue and orange, with marigold petals scattered on white cloth. Behind him, a crowded ghat with multi-storey buildings, boats and many people stretches along the river under hazy skies. Probable Swamiji: the long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha and pearl adornments match the page's description of him on this boat tour.2013-02-13October 02 20152015-10-02Outdoor photo of a ritual bathing scene in a river at a Kumbh Mela shahi snan procession. A central man with dark hair, bare-shouldered, wears a maroon-red wrap, heavy gold necklaces with a large gold pendant, and red-and-gold armbands; he stands waist-deep in greenish water, cupping his hands, eyes lowered. Around him, devotees in saffron and orange robes, a man in white dhoti with gold necklaces, and bald sannyasis in orange with gold garlands wade and stand. Green, yellow and orange umbrellas with fringed edges and tall red poles rise above the crowd, with a pink stone structure and trees behind.2016-04-22October 23 20152015-10-23Photograph taken from behind of a bare-shouldered figure with long matted dreadlocks wound into a high topknot decorated with scattered yellow flower petals, wearing a yellow-orange marigold garland and a rust-red wrap over the shoulder. Gold armlets adorn the upper arm. The figure stands on a riverside ghat at dusk facing a wide river, with several wooden boats tied with ropes and bamboo poles beside them, a red flag on a pole, and a white-clad person and a sari-clad devotee visible at the right edge. Calm blue water and a distant tree line complete the scene.2016-07-15July 25 20172017-07-25 +1 copiesA photograph of a Guru Purnima offering on an outdoor stone platform. A figure in a saffron turban, orange robe, layered gold necklaces, rudraksha malas and gold armbands sits on a red cushioned throne with a gold-patterned backrest, receiving a folded orange cloth from a bald, bare-chested man in a white dhoti and white shawl who kneels and bows. A woman in an orange sari with a forehead mark and beads sits with hands joined nearby. Behind them, white-clad devotees sit on red steps, a metal staff-like ritual stand stands beside the throne, and green leaves hang at the top.
