The elephant-headed deity has a raised trunk curling toward the right, a round belly, and multiple arms holding objects including a modak-like sweet, a tusk-shaped or ceremonial implement and a curled ornamental piece. The clay is brown-beige with visible tool marks and smoothing. Behind it are a grey wall, a dark work table with scattered clay debris, and bare feet of workers on a woven mat at the bottom edge.2013-06-26A photograph of an unpainted clay figurine of the elephant-headed deity Ganesha, seated cross-legged on a grey stone slab. The figure has four arms, the upper hands raised holding small objects, the lower hands resting near the lap, a long curled trunk, large ears and a tall pointed crown. The clay is a plain brown earth tone with visible tool marks. No people are visible; the figure is a sculpted deity murti.August 23 20152015-08-23August 23 20152015-08-23Three men work on a clay-coloured sculpture of Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity, in a plain room with white walls. The central figure stands behind the four-armed murti, which is coated in a brown-orange surface and holds a rope-like item and a modak-style sweet and an axe-like tool. A man in a red checked shirt sits at the left, hands on the base, and a bare-chested man in a white vest sits at right. The scene shows artisans finishing a deity murti. Nothing here indicates a person's presence.2013-06-23A small unpainted clay figure of the elephant-headed deity Ganesha sits cross-legged on a stone ledge. It has four arms raised with hands holding objects, a trunk curled toward its belly, and a plain earthen brown body. A single red hibiscus flower lies on the ledge in front of it. The grey stone surface and the flower provide the only other colour in the frame.June 06 20132013-06-06August 08 20092009-08-08A photograph of artisans sculpting a clay figure of Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity, in a plain whitewashed workshop. The unfinished murti is brown-tan, with an elephant trunk and four arms holding a rod and a rounded object. A bare-chested man in a white vest sits at the right, a man in a checked red-and-white shirt leans in from the lower left and works on the base with his hands, and a third man in a white shirt and pink lungi stands behind the murti shaping its body. Clay tools and wet clay lie on a wooden table.2013-06-23
