September 09 20122012-09-09September 09 20122012-09-09May 21 20062006-05-21A man with long, swept-back dark hair wearing an orange saffron shawl and wrap, with a gold-bead necklace of ceremonial gold beads and a red bindi and white tilak marks on his forehead, holds a silver oil lamp with a bright flame and a ringing bell-like handle in his right hand while his eyes are closed in devotion. Smoke drifts around him against a dark background with a blue-and-yellow painted pillar and a tent canopy above. Swamiji (probable): the long hair, saffron wrap and ceremonial gold necklace match the appearance cues; he is performing a lamp offering during the ritual.2010-02-12A photograph of a man in saffron-orange robes and a red-orange shawl holding a lit brass aarti lamp in one hand and a silver handbell in the other during a ritual. He wears a white-and-red tilak on his forehead, a long dark mala of rudraksha-style beads, and a gold-toned ornamental necklace. Behind him, several devotees with palms joined stand in a doorway amid smoke, including a woman in a light blue garment at left. The setting is a plain interior with white walls.2012-09-09A man with long swept-back dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead holds a lit silver aarti lamp with a flame in one hand and a brass bell in the other. He wears a rust-orange wrap with a gold waistband, a red-orange rudraksha mala, and gold bead garlands; he is smiling and looking down at the flame. Behind him, a blurred monk in orange-brown robes stands in a room with a plain pale wall. The long hair, ornate gold beads and orange clothing are cues consistent with Swamiji (probable), shown performing aarti as the presiding person.2013-05-12December 25 20072007-12-25December 25 20072007-12-25November 09 20072007-11-09August 01 20082008-08-01April 01 20132013-04-01A photograph inside a small room with pale blue walls and a red-framed window. A man in an orange turban, orange shawl and a dark rudraksha mala smiles while holding a brass oil lamp (aarti) lit with flame, with yellow and white flower garlands at its base near a small deity murti on a shelf. Behind him a man in white clothes holds a tray, and on the right two men in white and orange stand with palms pressed together in namaskar. The scene suggests a puja or aarti inside a newly built room. The man in orange is an appearance-based a person candidate, but the page does not place a person at this event, so the identification is uncertain.2010-02-18
