A photograph of a Dhwajarohanam ritual during the Nithyanandotsavam festival at ADIKAILASA. Center: a large cloth banner, brown-red with garlands of white and yellow and purple flowers draped over its top, bearing a painted portrait of a seated figure in orange robes with a mala, hand raised in blessing, inside a gold-bordered oval, plus a small embroidered deity image above. A bare-chested priest on the right in orange cloth holds a bell and a lamp near the banner. Left: several men with bare shoulders, white vibhuti marks and tied hair hold white ropes and cloth. A gold-coloured pillar stands behind. The painted portrait on the banner is an image, not a physical person.

Outdoor ritual at a temple-style courtyard. A bearded man with long swept-back hair, a white tilak on his forehead, a white flower garland, a rudraksha mala and a rust-red robe holds a brass aarti lamp with a flame and a bell, performing puja. Around him, several young men in orange robes, gold necklaces, sandalwood and white markings stand with folded hands. On the left, a man holds a red-and-gold decorated parasol. A red plate of flowers and offerings sits on a woven mat in front of them, with incense sticks in a metal bowl at left.

A photo of a samadhi-shrine ceremony outdoors under a canopy of palm fronds and orange-and-yellow marigold garlands. A bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a red-and-gold cloth draped over his shoulder holds a lit camphor aarti plate, flame rising, with rudraksha beads on his chest. Three saffron-robed sannyasis stand beside him with hands folded in namaste, one with a long beard and one with a shaved head. Two white-clad devotees with folded hands stand at right. Beside them, a large framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" is garlanded with white and red flowers, and a bed of orange and red flowers lies at its base. The portrait is a depiction of a person, not a physical presence in the scene. Five physical people are visible.

Four bare-chested sannyasis in orange cloth stand outdoors before palm trees, performing an aarti. The man at right raises a brass lamp with a lit flame and small bells, his other hand in añjali mudra. Beside him a bearded sannyasi with a red tilak holds his palms together in prayer. A second sannyasi with matted locks and rudraksha malas also folds his hands. At left, a sannyasi with a flower-filled brass plate of pink petals looks downward. Their arms bear white painted markings and rudraksha bracelets, and gold-toned pendants hang on their chests. A grey stone figure appears at the right edge. Roles are priests and devotees; no one is identified as a person.

Outdoors on a rocky hillside with a tree and boulders behind, a bare-chested young man with long dreadlocks and an orange dhoti holds a silver aarti lamp with a flame aloft and a bell in his other hand, wearing a rudraksha mala and bead bracelets. Beside him, a man with long dreadlocks and a wrapped orange cloth holds his palms together in prayer, while another devotee with a white forehead mark carries a brass plate of offerings, and a figure in the foreground looks up. The scene reads as an aarti or puja ritual being performed in a natural setting.

Outdoor ritual photo of a saffron-robed man in a rudraksha mala at right, bare-chested with white tripundra markings, lifting a folded cloth. In front stands a tall rust-coloured banner painted with a seated figure, wrapped in a pink and yellow flower garland. A brass kalasha-style pot and a golden pillar with a green leaf bundle stand beside it; a second man in orange cloth is partly visible at left, and a golden ornate structure with a trident-topped stand sits behind.
