In the foreground at left, a bare-shouldered man with a short haircut and white ash markings on his upper arm holds a brass multi-wick oil lamp, its flames lit, toward the deity murti at the centre. The murti is blurred, draped in a red cloth and framed by gold ornaments. Dark wooden bead bracelets are on his wrist. The figure's identity is not clear from appearance, so no candidate is named.2016-11-05October 11 20162016-10-11May 31 20182018-05-31A bare-chested young male priest with white vibhuti markings on his forehead and arms and a rudraksha mala around his neck holds a brass oil lamp with a curved handle up in his right hand during a ritual. Behind him, an ornately decorated golden deity murti stands adorned with gold jewellery, white and red floral garlands and flowers. Brass bowls with offerings sit on a dark ledge in the foreground. The scene suggests a puja or aarti at a temple shrine.2017-02-01A priest stands with his back to the camera, bare-chested with white sacred marks on his skin and a maroon dhoti with a green-and-gold border, holding a silver lamp with a bright flame in both hands before a richly decorated deity murti. The murti is draped in layers of garlands of yellow, orange, red and white flowers and green leaves, set on a yellow cloth with a gold crown and ornaments visible. Behind it a golden arched shrine frame is strung with lights. On the left, a partly visible woman in an orange sari and a brass lamp stand flank the scene, and a figure in white stands at the right edge. This is an aarti before a garlanded deity, with the lit lamp as the central action.2016-12-19February 01 20172017-02-01April 18 20182018-04-18August 04 20172017-08-04May 31 20182018-05-31September 01 20162016-09-01A photograph of a temple ritual in a gold-ornate shrine.
