Photograph of a ritual chanting session at night. Several young men and boys in white dhoti-style clothes with gold borders sit cross-legged on a mat, many wearing rudraksha malas and red-brown wrist bands, facing forward toward microphones on stands. Brass plates holding grains and small vessels lie before them on a yellow cloth. Behind them, a large framed portrait shows a figure in saffron-orange robes and a beaded necklace seated on a tree-like backdrop, placed on an orange cushioned chair. A standing fan and a teal cloth appear at left. The setting is an indoor or covered area with dim lighting.

A night-time homa at an outdoor shrine. A central officiant in an orange-and-saffron garment and orange head wrap tends a small square fire pit with a flame and offerings on a yellow-bordered platform. Seated devotees in white dhotis with gold borders, rudraksha malas and red-and-white arm threads sit around the pit, some facing the fire. To the right, a deity murti is decorated with garlands in yellow, white, purple and green, with a green and red cloth draped behind. Microphones stand on the left among orange-robed seated monks, and a copper bowl sits beside the fire.

A night homa ritual in progress at a temple-like hall. In the foreground a priest in white dhoti and shawl with red border, bare-shouldered and wearing gold beaded necklaces, extends his arm over a square fire pit of glowing flames. Around the fire, several shaven-headed priests in white cloths with red borders and gold beaded necklaces sit cross-legged, some holding brass vessels and offerings. Brass lamps, a copper bowl of ghee or oil, marigold petals and flower garlands lie on the platform. Behind them stands a framed portrait of a figure in saffron-orange robes seated on a red throne with gold trim, and deity murtis and garlanded idols are visible at the upper left.

Photograph of a group chanting session in an open hall with a striped red, white and orange wall behind. Two young men in front sit cross-legged on mats, singing into microphones on stands. The man on the left wears white dhoti and shawl, a gold bead necklace with a small pendant, and white tripundra markings on his forehead and arms. The man beside him wears a white dhoti, gold bead necklace and a small red-and-gold pendant, reading from a blue-covered sheet on a wooden stand. Behind them several men in white dhotis sit with palms pressed together in prayer, and smoke drifts through the scene near a brass vessel on the right. A man in orange robes sits at the left edge. No a person candidate is clearly identifiable among the visible people.

A seated group of devotees performs a night ritual in a hall, many holding small lit oil lamps or wicks flaring in their hands. Most wear white dhotis and shawls with red-edged borders, some with rudraksha malas and vibhuti or kumkum on the forehead. A bare-chested man in saffron-orange cloth sits near the lower centre with a white tilak and a mala, beside a brass plate of offerings and flowers. Small brass vessels and oil lamps rest on orange mats across the floor. The page names the event as a person Pancha Tapas, but no printed text is visible in the frame.
