Orange and yellow flames rise from the centre of the pile, lighting the surrounding dry fronds, while the background is black. No people, statues or ritual vessels are visible. The fire is set among dry palm leaves, consistent with a Karthikai Deepam lamp-lighting, but only the fire and fronds are clearly visible.2010-11-21 +1 copiesClose-up photograph of a fire being lit with dry straw or grass stalks over a stone hearth.
