He wears a yellow short-sleeved collared shirt, khaki trousers and grey sandals. Scattered around him are a sledgehammer with a wooden handle, a grey stone block, coiled black cable and a bundle of rebar.2006-10-29Outdoor photograph of two men working at a small clay forge beside a bamboo lattice fence on bare dirt ground. The man on the left, wearing a white shirt and a cloth wrap, crouches and holds a metal rod with tongs over a flat stone. The man on the right, in a checked shirt, strikes a metal bar with a hammer while seated. Glowing coals sit in the forge opening, and short iron rods lie scattered on the ground. A bucket of charcoal sits at the left edge. The scene shows metalworking in progress.2006-12-19A worker in a green striped shirt, khaki shorts, sandals and a red checked head cloth cuts a large pale stone block with a green angle grinder in a dusty, open-sided stone workshop. Chips and fragments of stone litter the ground and piles of cut blocks sit behind him. The photo is a site image of stone cutting rather than a ritual or discourse scene.2014-09-17A construction site photograph showing two men working on a concrete building under bamboo scaffolding lashed with rope. The man on the left, in a white shirt and dark trousers, swings a hammer while bending over metal rebar laid on the sandy ground. The man seated on a concrete block, in a yellow t-shirt and maroon trousers, holds a tool and works on the rebar. Concrete pillars, a slab overhead, scattered stones, bundles of bamboo and a pile of cut rebar surround them.2010-02-10A photo of a man sitting cross-legged on a stone ledge in an outdoor stone-carving yard, working a small carved stone with a hammer and chisel. He wears black-rimmed glasses, a white sleeveless vest, a gold chain and a green checked lungi, and is barefoot. Around him lie rough granite blocks, stone rubble, a carved stone urn or basin, a stone elephant figure at the top left, a tree trunk and scattered tools including a mallet and a plastic bottle.A worker in a grey shirt and a checked lungi, with a white cloth wrapped over his head, kneels on a wooden plank atop freshly poured concrete slabs at a construction site. He holds a hand tool, working on the grey surface, with a green electrical cord running across the slabs to a purple electrical switch box at the lower left. A metal bucket with grey cement and a pink plastic bottle sit nearby, and a pink plastic bottle lies on the concrete at the bottom edge. Dirt and small stones surround the site.2006-12-19
