Outdoor scene on a dusty open ground at an ashram compound, with a long white building under a green corrugated roof on the left and palm and eucalyptus trees behind. A long line of people in white and coloured clothing stands along the left, and a few figures in white dhotis and saffron shawls move across the open ground. In the centre, a figure in an orange shawl and white dhoti stands near a small group, with a red cord stretched across the ground to the right and a man in white kneeling at a wooden structure. A man in white dhoti and a saffron shawl walks in the foreground, and a seated person in white sits lower left beside scattered petals and debris. Several children and adults in white walk barefoot across the scattered paper and debris, and one person in white and orange cloth bends over a red object on the ground. Many men wear white dhotis and white shirts, some with a tied waist sash in yellow, while women wear white, cream and colourful saris in yellow, pink, teal and purple. A few people wear blue and maroon shirts. Several participants hold white cords or ropes, forming a line along the dirt path, and most look upward toward something out of frame.
