A photograph of a large outdoor ritual gathering at dusk, with many people seated on the ground in rows behind low white brick platforms. Each platform holds a small metal bowl, a brass plate with flowers and fruit, and burnt incense sticks or agarbatti. Participants wear white dhotis and shirts, or saris in pink, yellow, orange, green and red. A man in a white shirt and dhoti in the foreground sits with hands clasped, and a woman in a yellow sari sits at right beside a steel bowl. Some attendees wear identification badges on their clothing. Behind them, more people stand and move among the rows, and a portrait is visible on a wall at upper left. The scene matches a group pancha-tapas practice; the page does not show a person clearly, so no candidate is identified.2007-02-11February 11 20072007-02-11Night photograph of a large outdoor homa ceremony. Smoke fills the air and small flames burn in many pits. In the foreground a woman in a white sari with a red border sits cross-legged tending a fire, and nearby a woman in a white garment feeds the flames. Further back an older man in white dhoti and shirt sits by a pit, and a shirtless man wears an orange cloth on his lower body. Brass bowls and small offerings sit beside the fires. The crowd of seated participants stretches into the hazy background.2007-11-18February 11 20072007-02-11Night-time homa at an outdoor ritual shed. Several bare-chested men in white dhotis with sacred threads sit and stand around brick fire pits with burning flames. In the centre, a man in an orange headwrap, bare-chested with a rudraksha-style bead necklace, pours liquid from a bowl over a fire pit beside a tray of red rose petals and fruits. A green light glows overhead and onlookers in white stand in the background.2017-03-11A large group of devotees seated on the floor in a hall during a puja, holding small brass oil lamps and lit candles aloft. Many wear orange, saffron and maroon robes, while others wear white kurtas and saris; several have sandalwood or vibhuti markings and beaded malas. Brass trays with flowers, ritual items and small containers sit on the floor in front, and metal railings divide the seating rows. No individual can be identified as a person from the image, so no in-person candidate is claimed.2014-04-20A large outdoor tented gathering with a red carpet where a crowd of devotees sits on the floor, mostly dressed in white and cream clothing, with some women in gold-bordered saris and others in orange or yellow. Many women wear long braids with white flowers. In the upper right, a woman in a gold-bordered cream sari stands and holds a microphone, apparently addressing the audience. Yellow-tinged oil lamps stand among the seated rows, and a fruit offering sits on a plate in the foreground. A video screen and camera equipment appear at the top and right edges. No figure matching the a person candidate criteria is clearly visible.2017-06-08December 15 20062006-12-15December 17 20062006-12-17December 17 20062006-12-17A large nighttime outdoor gathering of devotees in white shirts and white dhotis or trousers, with some women in saris and salwar in pink, yellow and red.
