The floral mandala is made of yellow and white flowers. Pointed red and pink petal shapes radiate outward, with pink lotus-like forms at the edges and loose yellow blossoms scattered around the border. A yellow cloth and a partly visible person's feet appear at the top edge. No people are prominent in the frame, and no readable text appears in the image.2016-12-15A woman in a green and orange striped sari pours milk from a steel vessel into a dark clay pot set over a fire on brick supports for Pongal, the Makara Sankranti harvest festival. The pot is decorated with red roses, leafy green stalks and yellow flowers, with sugarcane stalks standing on either side and marigold petals scattered on the ground. Her wrists carry gold and red bangles. Behind is a red draped cloth. Only her arms and sari are visible; no face appears in frame.2022-01-14Close view of a Pongal offering at a clay pot set on brick bases. Two women in saris are pouring rice from a brass vessel into the pot, which is wrapped with green leaves and marigold and red flower garlands, with smoke rising from it. Stalks of sugarcane stand on either side and a yellow-orange marigold garland lies at the lower right. One woman wears a lime-green striped sari with bangles, the other an orange sari with a pendant necklace. Only the women's arms, hands and lower bodies are visible. Golden text along the bottom reads Pongal Celebrations 2022 and Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Devalayam, Adhi Kailash.2022-01-14
