In the foreground, a hand reaches toward a silver lamp with a flickering flame, while a shaved-headed man in white dhoti and white shawl with a red bindi holds a lamp near his face. Behind him, people in orange and saffron shawls hold lamps as well. A silver plate with lamps and offerings sits in the lower left. The setting appears to be a devotional gathering with lamp offerings.2010-09-08A shaved-headed priest in a white dhoti and shawl stands holding a silver oil lamp with a lit flame raised in front of his face. He wears a gold bangle, a ring and a long gold-beaded garland across the chest, with white sacred ash bands on his forehead and arms and a red mark between his brows. Another person's green and orange clothing is visible at the edges. The setting is an ashram or temple hall with a plain wall behind.2010-11-24A close photograph of a man in white ritual clothing holding a lit brass oil lamp in his right hand during a puja. A flame burns on the lamp, and the man wears beaded necklaces and metal bangles on his wrist. The background is blurred, with a blurred figure in white on the right and a red-orange cloth at the bottom right. The image is dim and focused on the lamp and hands.2011-02-13Close photo of a seated person in white ritual clothing with a gold-bordered cloth and a dark rudraksha mala draped across the body, holding a small brass oil lamp with a lit flame in cupped hands. The person sits cross-legged on a colourful striped mat, with a brass lamp stand and a mobile phone visible at the lower right edge. Only hands, arms, lap and feet are shown; the face is not visible. The setting suggests a lamp offering during a satsang-style gathering.2012-09-15September 10 20112011-09-10Close photograph of a ritual scene with silver oil lamps burning. A young man in white dhoti and shirt with a red-striped border and gold chain sits centrally, looking upward while hands hold a silver lamp near his forehead. Another hand holds a lit silver lamp on the left, and a person in yellow cloth and white garments sits behind. Behind them, figures in red and orange cloth hold more lit lamps. Smoke or haze softens the frame. A silver tray is visible at the bottom edge. Practice appears to be a lamp-based puja or aarti.2010-09-08November 18 20152015-11-18
