A seated man in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, wearing a long marigold garland and a white-and-red flower garland, with long swept-back hair. Three women and a young man kneel before him performing a padapuja: a woman in a white blouse and a woman in a cream sari hold a silver plate and pour water over his feet, while a young man in white and an orange shawl kneels at right. Behind them are stacked books, red apples and a water bottle on a white-covered table, and a peach wall with white tiles. The seated man has distinctive long hair, saffron robes and garlands, so he is a probable Swamiji (probable) in the ceremony as the page notes.2009-08-09August 09 20092009-08-09A man with long dark hair, wearing an orange saffron dhoti and a long garland of yellow and red flowers, sits with hands folded on an ornate gold-and-red throne. Several devotees in white and orange clothing sit on the ground before him with their hands in anjali, some with brass trays of offerings in front of them. Fruit, flowers and small brass vessels are placed on the golden side tables. Behind them, women in white and orange sit in a courtyard with orange and white striped walls and a golden gate. Swamiji (probable) is seated on the throne, identified by his long hair, saffron clothing and flower garland.2010-08-15August 15 20102010-08-15A photograph of a padapuja ceremony in a temple-style hall with red and gold patterned walls. Hands are folded in front of him. Devotees sit on the floor before him with their hands joined in namaskar: a woman in a blue top, a bald man in yellow, a man in white, a woman in a pale green sari, and a child in a striped shirt. Brass thalis with flowers and offerings are set on gold stands, and orange and white striped drapery hangs behind. Several more people in white and orange sit toward the right. a person in orange, seated on the throne.2010-08-15August 09 20092009-08-09August 15 20102010-08-15May 02 20142014-05-02A seated man in an orange saffron robe and orange shawl sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, with white and multicoloured flower garlands and a rudraksha mala around his neck, hands folded in his lap. Around him in a semicircle, devotees in white dhotis and shirts and a woman in yellow sit on the floor, some holding brass plates of offerings, one woman in red holding a lit oil lamp or aarti. Brass bowls of fruit, flowers and offerings fill the foreground. Behind the throne is a gold-decorated altar with a deity murti in yellow and red cloth and a bright red curtain at right, in a temple-style hall. The scene resembles a padapuja-style ritual with the seated figure being honoured.2010-08-14A photograph of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes on an ornate gold-and-red throne, wearing a dark beaded rudraksha-style mala and wreathed in yellow and red-and-purple marigold garlands. Two devotees stand before him with hands folded in namaste: a man in white shirt and trousers and a woman in a blue sari bending forward. Another man in orange clothing stands behind at left. Behind the throne are an ornate gold and pink structure, floral decorations and a small deity murti. A gold-trimmed table at right holds fruit and flowers. The figure appears to be the Swamiji (probable) given his saffron robes, long swept-back hair and mala, seated in the role of teacher receiving devotees.2010-08-15A photo of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, surrounded by floral decorations in white, red, pink and yellow. The seated man wears a saffron-orange garment and a long white and red flower garland, with long swept-back hair, and smiles as he extends his hands. Beside him, a woman in a white sari with a red beaded necklace holds a brass tray or plate near his hands. Behind the throne stand two attendants, one in an orange garment and one in white with a rudraksha mala, and a young man in white on the right. The overall setting is a ceremonial welcome or felicitation on a stage. The seated man is a probable Swamiji by appearance cues: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing, and a flower garland, presented as a seated honoured figure.2008-07-17
