May 24 20182018-05-24Close photograph of a round woven bamboo basket heaped with fresh flowers in yellow, pink, red, purple and white, including chrysanthemums and roses. Behind it, two flat silver-coloured ritual platforms sit on a striped multicoloured cloth in purple, red, green and orange. At right, a metal plate holds a bundle wrapped in white cloth topped with cream and purple flowers. No people are visible; the arrangement suggests puja offerings.2016-12-19Close-up photo of a ritual lingam or shivalinga being decorated with flowers in a temple setting. A man in a white dhoti and a red-brown beaded bracelet reaches toward a golden-toned lingam set on a silver-rimmed tray heaped with red roses, yellow roses, white flowers and green leaves. A bare-footed figure stands on a red floor at the left, and a person in a leopard-print and tiger-striped shawl sits at the right edge. The lingam and tray rest on a silver pedestal. No face is visible of the men shown, and no one is clearly identifiable as a person.2019-04-07March 07 20132013-03-07May 24 20182018-05-24A photo of a ritual row where women in orange and white saris sit behind brass oil lamps (deepams) wrapped in white and yellow flower garlands with red accents. Lit wicks flicker on several lamps, and a leaf or small bowl is held in a woman's hands at right. A striped cloth covers the ground in the foreground. Several women are partly visible, so the count is approximate, and no swami is clearly visible in this frame.2016-08-12July 31 20152015-07-31Close-up photo of a ritual arrangement: a turmeric-yellow coconut bound with dried palm-leaf strips and woven straw, set among green leaves and pink and yellow flowers. No clearly identifiable a person is visible in the frame.2018-05-29 +1 copiesJanuary 06 20182018-01-06A close photo of a hand, wearing a maroon sleeve, holding a small cluster of flowers: pink, yellow and white blossoms with a green leaf. On the right, a brass tray holds a red-orange cloth with rudraksha beads and a small white flower. Brass bowls and a brass stand sit on a white cloth, with white flowers at the lower right, consistent with an offering or puja arrangement. No other people are visible.2013-03-07A photo of a worship moment: a hand in a white dhoti with a yellow-and-blue border sprinkles red flower petals over a gilded bronze deity murti seated on a lotus-style base, adorned with yellow marigold and red rose garlands. A second hand holds a brass plate of red petals above. The metal base and surrounding ritual items are polished silver. The figure is a statue, not a physical person, and no one else is clearly visible.2018-03-02A photo of a padapuja-style offering: a figure in orange cloth sits on a gold-framed seat with red and white flower garlands draped over the orange garment. In the foreground, a silver tray holds red roses, white jasmine-type flowers, green leaves and gold-coloured fruit or bead-like offerings, beside a lit silver oil lamp with a flame. Two hands in white or cream sleeves hold a small silver vessel and reach toward the tray. Only hands and partial limbs of people are visible. The scene is set on a red cloth with a gold chair in the background.2009-12-08
