June 24 20142014-06-24Night procession on a dirt path with a dark background. A bare-chested man in white dhoti with gold border leads at left, carrying a red bag. Central figure wears saffron cloth and a long garland of white and yellow flowers with a red-and-white strand, with rudraksha beads visible, walking barefoot. Behind him a man in saffron dhoti carries a brass kalasha pot with green leaves on top. Several other men in white dhotis and shawls walk in line, one holding a small torch. A red motorcycle and potted plant sit at the left and right edges. The central figure's saffron clothing and garland suggest a sannyasi-style presentation, but the appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2011-09-30July 01 20142014-07-01February 13 20182018-02-13Night procession on a dirt path lit by a distant lamp. Five men walk in a line: a shaved-headed man in white dhoti and shirt with a rudraksha-style pendant at left; a central man in orange-saffron robes with gold-bordered shawl walking with hands folded; a man in orange robes with gold border behind him holding hands together; a man in white dhoti and shawl with gold border; and a shaved-headed man in orange robes carrying a tray with a small silver vessel, green leaves and white flowers. A man in a white shirt at right holds a lit lamp and a flower garland. Appearance-based identity of the central figure is uncertain, so he is described only by role as a devotee walking in the procession.2012-01-02January 11 20092009-01-11Night outdoor procession on a dirt path lit by bright floodlights, with a wooden building and trees behind. In the centre a young man with long swept-back dark hair wears a saffron-orange garment, a white floral garland of purple and white blossoms, and rudraksha beads. Beside him a shaven-headed man in orange robes and beaded mala walks barefoot. Around them devotees in white dhotis and shirts, some with striped sacred threads and necklaces, walk in a group, along with women in saris and men in white shirts and trousers.2011-05-16Night photo of a procession walking along an unpaved dirt road toward strings of lights and a banner. In front, a man in saffron robes wears a long marigold garland over his shoulders and bare feet; a rudraksha mala hangs around his neck. Beside and behind him, several men in saffron and orange robes carry a tray or offering, and a group of people in white dhotis and shirts walk behind them, with a figure in a yellow shirt at the left edge. Prayer flags are strung along a fence at the right. The scene shows a garlanded procession, but the figure's identity cannot be established from appearance alone.2012-01-08Night procession on a dirt path lit by street lamps, with a crowd of devotees around. In the centre a figure in orange robes with a long rudraksha mala walks with hands folded; he has long dark hair and a sandal-coloured sash. Flanking him, shaven-headed sannyasis in saffron robes with rudraksha malas hold hands in a dancing line, while men in white dhotis with gold borders, red-bordered cloths and rudraksha malas move alongside. Onlookers in white shirts and saris watch from the sides.2011-11-09A night procession walks along a dark stone pavement.
