In the centre, a seated person in orange robes and a red headpiece, garlanded with red flowers, sits on an ornate gold throne draped with a tiger-skin cushion beneath a gold parasol. In front of the throne is a framed portrait of a person in orange robes with a rudraksha mala. The priest appears to be performing an aarti.2013-02-11A man with long swept-back dark hair, a rudraksha-style red-brown garment, a red tilak, a white and red flower garland, gold bangles and a gold waist belt stands at a golden pillar, holding a lit oil lamp in one hand and a small handbell in the other while gesturing toward the shrine. Beside him on a raised seat is a deity murti dressed in blue, orange and gold garments with silver-trimmed fabric and a gold crown, decorated with white and orange flower garlands. A red cloth hangs behind the pillar and small brass oil lamps sit at the bottom of the frame. A second attendant in orange cloth stands at the left edge. The setting is a temple-style ritual hall with draped cloth and gold decor, consistent with a puja or aarti.2016-05-22
