Outdoors beneath a tall coconut palm, a man in orange-saffron robes and a rudraksha mala stands with palms pressed together in prayer beside an ornately carved wooden flagpole wrapped with orange rope. To the right, another person in orange robes and a garland holds a brass tray with a red cloth and offerings, appearing to perform a ceremonial aarti or puja at the dhwajarohanam-style pole. Bright sunlight washes the scene. The praying man has a rudraksha mala and is the most prominent figure; whether he is a person cannot be determined from appearance alone.2010-10-18Outdoor temple scene under a pale sky with a tall coconut palm behind. In the centre, a man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl stands with palms pressed together in prayer, head bowed, near a copper-clad ritual pillar or kalasha-topped structure decorated with yellow marigold garlands and a red flower. At right, a younger man in a white dhoti with a red-bordered cloth holds a golden tray. The copper column has ornate carved bands and a dark stone base. Foliage and another palm fill the background.
