Dense crowd fills a stone temple hall during a ceremony at a shrine with an ornate dark stone niche and a silver-covered door, with a black stone deity figure above it. Several robed priests stand near the shrine in white and saffron-orange garments, one wearing an orange turban and another with a shaved head, while a large crowd of devotees in white shirts and tan sun hats presses forward. Black stone guardian figures flank the aisles, draped with marigold and red flower garlands, and green stage lights hang from the carved pillars. Printed text on the shrine reads a Kannada name.2008-02-18A crowded temple procession seen through a stone pillar frame in the foreground, with a dark-skinned man in a green shirt and red thread at the lower left. At the centre is a silver palanquin or ratha-like shrine canopy with multi-tiered silver roofs, draped in pink, yellow and red marigold garlands. Many people in white dhotis and kurtas, some in orange, press around the procession under a white temple gateway decorated with carved lion figures and orange and red festoons. The setting appears to be a Hindu temple complex during a festival or abhishekam event.2008-02-18December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04December 12 20162016-12-12April 28 20182018-04-28February 18 20082008-02-18A crowded indoor temple hall decorated with a marigold and leaf canopy strung across the ceiling and tall cylindrical pillars wrapped in painted yellow, blue and red patterned cloth with orange fringe and garlands.
