A man in saffron-orange robes with a white and multicoloured flower garland stands at left holding a small vessel. Seated on the dais in saffron robes is a senior sannyasi, with a row of devotees in white clothing seated on the floor at right, many with long braided hair. Behind, more saffron-robed monastics and white-clad people sit, and a photographer stands near a tall red-and-white garlanded structure. Long bamboo poles with orange cloth stand at centre, and coconuts, fruit, flowers and a brass pot sit on a tray in the foreground. Portrait prints are displayed on a wall at left.2006-12-28July 11 20062006-07-11December 28 20062006-12-28February 16 20092009-02-16A large seated gathering fills a decorated pandal under an ornate red and gold patterned canopy. In the foreground, a figure with long, swept-back hair in an orange-saffron robe and rudraksha beads stands raising one hand toward the crowd, while a bearded man in white holds a plate of flowers beside him. Several shaved-headed monks in orange robes sit at the lower right with topknots facing the camera. Devotees in white clothing sit on red and white mats before a gilded altar decorated with flower garlands, brass lamps and a kalasha-like vessel with marigold petals. A tripod-mounted camera stands at the lower left. The scene suggests a satsang discourse.2005-07-21 +1 copiesA photograph inside a large tent-like hall during an evening ceremony, with dim light and hanging decorative banners in orange and dark patterns. Two standing figures in the centre walk between rows of seated devotees: the foreground figure wears a long orange robe and a white-and-orange flower garland, and holds a white cloth or paper, while a second attendant in a white dhoti and orange shawl stands behind them. Many seated devotees in white clothes, some in red and orange saris, sit on mats in rows, with a small lamp and offering plates before them. Several people appear on the right.2006-12-26A brightly lit hall during a ritual initiation ceremony. A standing man in saffron robes with a garland and long hair stands at left, offering items on a table draped with a teal cloth. Seated in the centre, a man in saffron robes sits on a mat before the table, with several saffron-clad men behind him and a row of women in white saris seated with their long braids visible in the foreground. Offerings on the table include coconuts, bananas, a brass vessel, flowers and a bowl of white substance. At right, a golden deity murti and flower garlands decorate a draped altar, and saffron-wrapped ritual staffs stand upright. Behind, a photographer in saffron stands near a wall with framed portraits.2006-12-28Interior of a long metal-roofed hall during an evening ritual. Three standing men in white dhotis and white kurtas wear orange-red shawls draped over their shoulders and stand before a decorated shrine on the left, where a deity murti sits on a green cloth under a maroon backdrop with gold motifs. Several seated men in white clothes hold brass lamps and ritual vessels on the floor, with a lit flame visible in front. Tall cloth-wrapped pillars with orange tassels hang from the ceiling, and a large seated audience in white fills the back of the hall. The scene suggests an aarti or puja with oil lamps and lit wicks.2007-10-13February 16 20072007-02-16
