A nighttime aarti at a temple stage hung with blue, purple and white fairy lights. A tall multi-tiered brass lamp with many burning oil flames is held aloft in the foreground by a figure in red garments. Behind it, a seated figure in an ornate silver throne-backdrop wears a crown-like headdress and a garland of marigolds and red flowers. A bare-chested priest in white dhoti sits on a striped rug beside the altar, with brass lamps and lotus-shaped diyas along the floor.2017-10-18October 18 20172017-10-18A tiered copper oil lamp (nanda deepam style) with multiple rows of lit flames stands in the foreground, held up by a devotee whose head and hands are partly visible from behind. Behind it, a white and silver ornate arch-shaped shrine backdrop is decorated with garlands, and a seated figure in white ritual clothing sits before it with a garland-draped deity murti in the background. Strings of multicoloured fairy lights in purple, blue, gold and white hang across a maroon curtain, and small oil lamps glow along the floor.2017-10-18A photograph of a festive stage in a hall decorated with strings of purple and warm white fairy lights hung in a curtain backdrop. A silver ornate arch frames a central seated figure dressed in orange-red garments with a large flower garland and a golden crown-like headdress, resembling a deity murti or seated image rather than a clearly visible living person. Two women in red and saffron saris sit kneeling at the front of the stage, one holding a small object, and a shirtless man in white dhoti kneels to the left of the central figure, apparently performing a puja. Brass lamps and offerings line the platform, with golden carved panels and pillars flanking the set.2017-10-18October 18 20172017-10-18April 01 20132013-04-01A seated guru on an ornate silver throne with a large ceremonial backdrop of gold, silver and jewel-like embellished arches, framed by a dark red curtain strung with fairy lights. The central figure wears saffron-orange robes, a gold crown and a long garland of white and red flowers, and holds a staff. Three devotees sit on the floor before him: an older man in white dhoti with a bare upper body and sacred thread, and two women, one in orange and one in a gold-bordered sari with long hair. A small brass lamp sits at the lower right. Darshan or satsang setting.2017-10-18A photo of a night ritual in a decorated tent hall. A bare-chested priest with rudraksha beads sits at a brick fire pit, pouring offerings with his hands while smoke rises. Beside him, a man in a white dhoti and shawl sits near a microphone and metal vessels. Behind them stands a tall ornate shrine with a deity murti draped in a flower garland, flanked by two fringed orange banners and a silver arch. Brass oil lamps with lit flames line the left side, and red flower petals cover the fire pit area.2015-07-16September 17 20122012-09-17A photograph of a decorated stage with string fairy lights in purple, white and orange hanging behind an ornate silver throne with a canopy and an arch of embroidered jewelled panels. A seated figure with a saffron garment and a multi-strand garland of red, yellow and white flowers sits on the throne in a pose of blessing. In front, a woman in an orange sari with her hair in a bun and a woman in a white sari with a red blouse both hold their palms together in namaste, and a shaved-headed man in white ritual dress sits with palms joined on the left. Deep red curtains frame the right side. The scene suggests an anniversary celebration with a darshan setting.2017-10-18April 04 20142014-04-04May 03 20142014-05-03
