Outdoor ritual setting with a standing man in white dhoti and white shawl bordered with gold, holding a brass kalasha-type vessel in one hand and raising a long gold-handled implement in the other. A brass lamp with a burning flame sits on a stainless steel table beside brass ritual implements, a bowl and a white yak-hair chamara fan with a gold handle. A red curtain hangs at left, palm trees and stone blocks stand behind, and a crowd is not visible. The man appears to be performing a puja or aarti.

A photograph of a white yak-tail chamara fan with a gold-coloured handle, held up by a bare arm with gold bangles at the left edge. The fan hangs before a deep red velvet drape. At the lower right, the orange-yellow silk garment and sleeve of a seated figure are visible, and a bare shoulder with jewellery appears at the top right. A white-clothed person and orange cloth are partly visible at the far left edge. The chamara suggests a temple honour ritual.

Close overhead photo of two white yak-tail chamaras with silver handles resting on a round brass tray, laid over a folded plain white cloth with green-edged stripes on a grey floor. No people are visible. The white hair fans out from the silver-capped handles in the centre of the tray.

A blurred photograph of a fan-shaped whisk. The background is a plain white fabric with soft folds. No people are visible.

A photograph of a white yak-hair chamara fan with two silver handles resting on a round golden plate against a dark, cracked grey stone surface, lit from one side. No people are visible. The fan's soft white hair fills the frame, with the silver-capped handles extending to the right.

A photograph from above of a white fly-whisk (chamara-like) with a long, fluffy pale hair fan and two silver handles with decorative tips, resting on a round golden-brown plate or tray against a dark, mottled grey background with a soft spotlight. No people are visible. The image is a close, dramatic still-life of ritual implements.

A photograph inside a temple pavilion showing a white-draped deity murti seated on a raised platform, decorated with a white and orange marigold garland and rudraksha beads, with a brass plate of offerings and small brass lamps in front. A large white chamara fan, a hand-held whisk of white fibre, is swung across the scene by an unseen hand at the left edge. Behind the white figure stands a golden deity figure in a yellow-orange dress and a jewelled crown, with a red curtain behind. Stone pillars and a tree are visible outdoors. No people are visible in the frame.

A temple ritual photograph showing a white cloth-covered Shiva lingam on a raised platform, decorated with a white jasmine garland and orange marigolds on a copper tray. A hand in a white sleeve and gold bangles waves a large white fly-whisk or chamara in motion above the lingam. Behind them stand two gold-coloured deity murtis with ornate jewelled crowns, necklaces and red drapery against a yellow cloth. Small brass bowls holding red and yellow flowers sit in the foreground. A framed small portrait sits on the right, and an open-air pavilion frames trees beyond.

A photograph of a set of ceremonial temple arati implements laid out in a row on a light grey silk cloth. From left to right: a brass mirror-shaped plate, a brass leaf-shaped lamp or fan, a brass disc with a bird motif, a brass flag-shaped standard, a brass umbrella-shaped canopy on a stem, a silver-toned fan with radiating incised lines, a white yak-tail or fly-whisk style chamara fan on a long brass handle, and a brass lamp stand with a curled handle and round base. No people are visible.

A photograph of a temple shrine where a white chamara fan is being waved over a seated murti draped in white cloth with a red-and-gold border. The murti wears a white turban-like head covering, a long white jasmine garland with marigold and red flower additions, a rudraksha mala, and a horizontal ornamental band across the forehead. In front stand small brass lamps holding flowers, and a golden kalasha-like vessel sits nearby. Behind, a golden-skinned deity figure stands against a red and yellow backdrop, with a yellow cloth draped over a platform. A hand holding the fan and a gold-bangled wrist are visible at left. Stone pillars and trees are seen outside the open pavilion.
