The figure wears dark rudraksha-style beads and a headband of flowers, and the scene is a festive reception.2007-12-25Photo of a ceremonial gathering under a white tent at what appears to be a Gurupoornima celebration. A long-haired man in saffron and orange robes, with a crown-like ornament and garlanded neck, is seated on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion, raising one hand and holding a golden trident-tipped staff. A young woman in a red-and-gold sari sits beside the throne. Around them, men in white and orange clothing, one wearing a rudraksha-style mala, and devotees with flowers in their hair attend closely. Behind is a painted backdrop of robed sages and a reclining figure, with a golden canopy above.
