Behind it stands a deity murti under a large gilded five-headed cobra hood, draped in marigold and yellow flower garlands and red floral offerings. Two additional garlanded figures or pedestals in red cloth sit to either side on a blue-draped platform. Brass and silver vessels, a silver bowl with a long handle, kumkum and vibhuti containers, and flower offerings lie on the ground near the fire. Stone steps lead up behind the platform. No people are visible in the scene.2013-10-06Night ritual photograph at a homa fire altar. A bare-chested priest in an orange-saffron dhoti stands with palms pressed together and holds a small offering, with rudraksha beads and a light sacred-marking visible at his neck. Beside him a second man in white dhoti and shawl stands with hands folded. In front, a bright fire burns in a sunken pit, surrounded by brass oil lamps on stands and bowls of flowers. Behind the fire, a tiered altar decorated with marigold and red flower garlands, a kalasha-like pot, and lion figures holds a deity murti arrangement. White and red striped walls form the backdrop, with a golden carved frame at the right edge.2016-02-16 +1 copiesNovember 25 20142014-11-25September 19 20152015-09-19October 19 20152015-10-19March 17 20192019-03-17A night-time homa at a fire pit in front of a decorated deity murti.
