A row of men kneel and bow forward with heads lowered to the floor in a hall with a deep red curtain behind them. The foremost man wears a white dhoti and shawl with maroon borders and a wooden rudraksha mala, and rests his forehead near the floor. Behind him others wear white with gold or maroon borders, and one man at the right wears saffron-orange robes. On the floor in front lie a small arrangement of puja items, brass vessels and a glass container on a patterned mat. The scene suggests a puja or devotional prostration.2011-11-05A photograph of a pada-puja ritual in a hall with a red curtain.
