Several people in white clothing sit in scattered positions beneath the tree: one seated figure in white on a low white platform at left, another in white seated in the centre, a person in dark clothing seated at right, and a woman in a white sari standing near a small black-topped altar with a white base at right. Mounds of earth and white pillars stand among the trees, and a blue emblem appears in the upper left corner.A group of devotees sits cross-legged in meditation on a large black polished stone slab beside a massive banyan tree with hanging aerial roots. Most wear white shirts and white dhotis, with a boy in an orange shirt seated at the front, a man in a light blue shirt and another in maroon and white nearby. A woman in a pink sari stands among the trees behind them, and a seated figure in white clothes sits on a raised platform at the right beside a marigold garland hung on the tree. Several men in white clothes sit on a cream and red mat on the ground, some with legs crossed, some with hands clasped, and one man in a white shirt sits on a white plastic chair at left, wearing dark trousers and glasses. A man in a white robe with patterned trim sits cross-legged on rocks at right, and another in white sits nearby. Large grey boulders and dry leaves lie on the reddish-brown earth, with an orange boundary wall behind. The setting suggests an informal outdoor satsang or group sitting. Seven people are visible.2013-05-13A photograph of an open outdoor garden area beneath large spreading banyan trees with aerial roots, on reddish-brown earth. A person in white clothing sits cross-legged on the left with hands raised in a meditative gesture, and two other figures in white and dark clothing sit or stand near rock formations at the centre and right. At centre, a shrine with a white arched niche holds a deity murti draped in a red garland, set on a raised platform with rows of red flowers. Several seated people in white and dark clothes face the shrine on a black tiled platform, including a person in white with a white shawl in the foreground and a woman in white sitting in the middle. Others stand and walk along a dirt path on the right, and two robed figures in dark saffron-toned clothing stand at left near the trunk. Hanging swings and wooden poles surround the area.2010-12-26February 23 20082008-02-23Outdoor photograph beneath a large banyan tree at an ashram grounds.
