A woman in a pink sari stands among the trees behind them, and a seated figure in white clothes sits on a raised platform at the right beside a marigold garland hung on the tree. On the dirt ground, a woman in an orange sari sits on a low stone ledge holding a small child, while a young boy in a blue outfit stands nearby. A woman in a white sari and a woman in a red and grey salwar kameez stand on the right, and a man in a white kurta with a folded cloth on his head stands on the left beside another man in a blue shirt. Another woman in a white sari stands near the centre. Some people appear to be bending or gathering near the tree base, and a dark cloth lies in the lower left foreground. The scene suggests a devotional gathering at a sacred tree.2009-07-07 +1 copiesSeptember 13 20132013-09-13Outdoor photo beneath a huge banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and spreading branches.
