A homa fire burns in a brick-lined fire pit on a stone floor. A person in an orange-saffron garment, with a bangled wrist and a metal cup raised in one hand, stands behind it. To the right, three coconuts wrapped in blue-and-white checked cloth, decorated with yellow flowers and mango leaves, rest on a carved wooden stand, with bananas, oranges and pomegranates on a metal plate in front. White ash is sprinkled on the bricks and ground, and a carved wooden doorway with a patterned rug lies behind.2019-01-05A photograph of a temple ritual centred on a silver tray holding several yellow-wrapped coconuts with green leaves and fresh pink flowers, arranged around white and pink cloth-wrapped bases. A person's hand, wearing a gold bangle and holding a small silver lamp (kalasha-style aarti vessel) with a bright flame, performs a deeparadhana-style offering. The person wears a rust-brown sari with a gold border and a beaded necklace, and only the hand, arm, bare feet and lower body are visible.
