Each standard has a teardrop-shaped canopy with yellow fringe, red and blue embroidered panels decorated with floral motifs and a central blue emblem with a white bird. A woman with long loose hair walks in the middle in white with a yellow shawl. Some people wear orange-toned garments. Red and multicolored festival banners and flags stand in the background under a clear blue sky, part of a Brahmotsava procession.2008-12-23December 23 20082008-12-23December 14 20062006-12-14A photograph of a procession on a dirt path at an outdoor festival. Several colourful parasols with fringed tassels, one with the word Dhyanapeetam printed on its valance, shade the procession. Beneath them, saffron-robed sannyasis walk in front, some holding long ceremonial staffs, one wearing beaded necklaces and rudraksha malas. Behind them, people in white dhotis and white clothes, some with orange shawls, follow along the path. Green shrubs and a tree line the route, and orange and red flags flutter in the distance under a clear sky.2008-12-23A procession of women and devotees moves under ornate ceremonial parasols with red, orange, blue and gold fabrics edged in silver beads and tassels. In the foreground a woman in white dhoti-style cloth with a red-and-brown sash and rudraksha-style beads holds a blue parasol aloft. Beside her a woman in a yellow-and-white garment walks with her head lowered. Several women in orange saris and beaded necklaces carry the red and orange umbrellas, and more people in white and orange stand behind in a covered hall with a metal roof. The scene reads as a ritual or festival procession.2017-08-15December 23 20082008-12-23
