A seated man with eyes closed sits on a throne-like seat decorated with dense garlands of red roses, orange and yellow marigolds and white flowers. He wears a bare-chested orange-brown wrap, a gold-toned bordered waistband, ornate gold and beaded shoulder pieces with orange pompoms, and layered necklaces of red flower garlands and cream shell-like beads. A white vertical tilak and red bindi mark his forehead, and a beaded bracelet is on his wrist. Smoke or incense haze drifts across the lower frame, and a gilded decorative edge is visible at the bottom. The setting suggests a ceremonial homa or darshan. Visible cues: long swept-back hair is not shown, but the ornate gold shoulder pieces, garlands, and bare-chested orange-brown wrap are distinctive. a person seated on a decorated throne during a ritual.2015-07-16July 17 20152015-07-17 +1 copiesJuly 31 20152015-07-31June 04 20152015-06-04October 03 20142014-10-03 +3 copiesA photograph of a man seated on an ornate red cushioned throne with a gold-embossed back and a tiger-striped fabric draped over the seat edge.
