Beside him a man in an orange shawl holds a brass bell and spreads a fine mist, and devotees with raised, cupped hands reach toward the blessing. Others wear white with orange shawls, including a woman holding a camera and an older bald man in white. Many people behind wear orange robes and white dhotis, some with folded hands in namaste. The scene suggests a darshan or blessing moment.2008-12-23Outdoor ritual scene with a priest in orange robes and an orange head cloth standing before a draped orange-covered platform, with a bronze kalasha and banana leaves behind. A man with long swept-back hair, a tilak on his forehead, saffron robes, and layered ornate gold-toned necklaces and a rudraksha mala stands at the centre, extending his hand over a brass lamp-like vessel with a small flame. Devotees around him press palms together in anjali, and a woman in white with an orange shawl stands nearby. Behind them a red and orange canopy with tassels shelters the gathering. White vibhuti marks are on the forehead. Around him, young men in white shirts with yellow shawls and rudraksha malas attend a ritual; brass plates with lamps and offerings sit on the ground in front. Women in saris, one in pink and one in green, watch from behind plastic chairs, and children sit nearby among flowering shrubs in an open courtyard.2009-09-25Outdoor ritual scene under a leafy tree. On the right, a figure in orange robes with long dark hair, holding a bell and a tall golden multi-tier lamp (aarti), faces a golden-decorated deity murti at left draped in garlands of pink, purple and yellow flowers. A crowd of devotees stands in front with hands folded in prayer; women wear white saris and cream dhotis, and a man at right wears a white dhoti with a red-gold shawl. A red flag on a pole rises at centre. Dappled sunlight falls on the scene. The figure in orange has distinctive long hair and orange robes, a person cue, but identity remains uncertain.2005-07-21July 12 20062006-07-12December 07 20072007-12-07Outdoor ritual scene under leafy trees.
