A photograph of a clay deity murti lying on a blue-and-wooden raft floating on brown water in a pond, surrounded by a stone-edged bank and green grass. The murti depicts a goddess with a dark braided hair, red and white garments and red garland, reclining beside a lion figure with a golden mane; the deity's arms are raised and a trident-like object lies across it. Scattered white cloth and decorations float around the raft, consistent with an immersion (visarjan) after a festival. No people are visible in the scene.2010-10-17March 06 20072007-03-06A photograph of children splashing in a round blue-lined swimming pool under an open roofed shelter with a wooden bench. Several boys are in the water: one in a dark striped shirt covers his face with his hands, another in a light beige shirt leans over with his head down, and a boy in a yellow-and-brown shirt sits at the edge. In the foreground, a figure in an orange and dark garment floats face down in the splashing water, and a child in a white collared shirt watches from the bottom edge. Water sprays everywhere. No a person candidate is visible.2007-03-06October 17 20102010-10-17A shirtless priest in an orange dhoti with a rudraksha mala and white ash stripes on his arms and chest pours liquid from a brass vessel over a dark stone Nandi bull statue with a flower garland at its neck. A seated bearded man in red garments and a flower garland rides on the wagon. Nearby, a man in an orange robe walks beside it, along with a man in white dhoti and gold-bordered shawl, a man with white-marked forehead and rudraksha mala, and a woman in red sari. Another illuminated float follows behind, and a tree with hanging seed pods stands at right.2016-10-11Night photograph of a seated monk in an orange-saffron robe, sitting cross-legged on dark ground with head bowed, while small open flames burn in a line along the ground beside him and further back. Other figures in pale robes stand partly visible at the top edge of the frame. The bright fire and orange clothing dominate the scene.2006-08-17A riverbank immersion scene at a muddy water body with palms and a low wall behind. A woman with long dark wavy hair in an orange saree is seen from behind, holding a small brass pot and pouring water toward two floating clay images of deities lying on a wooden platform, one with a purple flower garland. Around her, men in saffron/orange robes stand on the bank; a bald man with glasses in an orange robe and shawl is clasping his hands, and a man in a white dhoti with an orange shawl and a mala holds a long bamboo staff. Colour powder smears on some faces and clothes. Petals and white cloth float on the water.2010-10-17October 06 20112011-10-06Outdoor photograph of a shahi snan bathing scene at a Kumbh Mela, with a column of water spraying up from the centre of a shallow river or tank. Several saffron-robed sadhus and devotees stand waist-deep, many wearing rudraksha malas and gold-coloured necklaces; one man in maroon and gold clothing stands at right with arms at his sides. Water splashes over bare-chested men at left and centre. Behind them are orange-painted temple walls, a green canopy and a red flag on a pole under a bright blue sky. Several people are visible, most partially submerged. No clearly identifiable a person candidate is present.2016-04-22Making Of Sacred Arts University
