Outdoor photograph beneath a large banyan tree with thick hanging aerial roots and a bamboo-supported canopy. On the right, a golden-bodied deity murti draped in red cloth and garlanded with a long multicoloured flower garland (red, orange, yellow, white). A brass plate sits on a low stand in front. Several people in white ritual clothes stand and kneel nearby, one man in a red-orange shawl and white dhoti stands with palms together, a woman in orange sari and another in white sari stand in the middle, and a man in a yellow-striped shirt stands centrally. A child and seated devotees appear at the left edge. Strings of marigold garlands decorate the tree trunk. The scene appears to be a devotional gathering at a shrine.

In front, many white cloth bundles are piled on a red base. Around them, about eight people stand with palms pressed in anjali, including an older woman in white, a girl in a red dress with gold trim holding a lamp, a girl in a blue floral dress, and men in white shirts and light trousers. A cameraman with a camera on the left, appears to be filming. The setting suggests a Guru Purnima offering of bhiksha.

Outdoor ritual under a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots. Two men stand on a raised wooden platform with red metal railings, both in saffron-orange dhotis; the one on the right wears an orange upper cloth and holds a vessel while the one on the left, shaved-headed and bare-chested, extends his arms toward him. Below, a crowd of robed devotees in saffron and white gathers, some holding vessels and flowers. On the right stands a black stone naga-serpent sculpture on a plinth decorated with flowers, and a woman in white is nearby. Offering plates, brass pots and a blue cloth lie on the ground at left. The scene suggests a puja beneath the sacred tree.

Outdoor ritual at a large banyan tree at dusk. A priest in white dhoti and shawl stands with palms joined in prayer beside a shrine. Another man in orange robes raises a lit lamp toward a black stone deity murti decorated with orange cloth and garlands, with a bell or small instrument in his other hand. A black-and-white snake sculpture lies at the base of the shrine. On the left, a row of about ten to twelve devotees in white, red and green saris and white shirts stand with hands folded, including children. The setting is a paved circular platform in sandy ground with aerial roots hanging from the banyan.
