A photograph of an outdoor greeting at a Tamil Nadu house visit. A bare-chested man in saffron-orange cloth with a red-and-yellow flower garland and rudraksha beads embraces a smiling person whose head is bowed; a man in a white shirt and white dhoti places a garland on him. Several saffron-clad and shaved-headed devotees stand to the left, and a group of onlookers watches from a concrete balcony and wall. A building with orange walls and a potted plant appear behind, under a pale sky.

A seated figure in a rust-red and gold-bordered dress wrapped over the shoulder, wearing a multicolour flower garland of white, yellow, purple and red blooms and a white vibhuti line on the forehead, places one hand on the head of a man bowing forward in a cream sweater with a small blue badge on the sleeve. The seated figure sits on a gold-carved throne with a red cushion. Behind them, a man in an orange shawl and a woman in red stand near a pink-walled building with carved columns and a lattice window, and another man in an orange-red wrap is visible at the right edge. The person giving blessing is the a person by appearance cues: a rudraksha-style red cloth draped over the shoulder, a flower garland and ceremonial gold-and-red seating, though the face is partly turned and the appearance is not fully certain. The bowing man receives a blessing with head bowed. A kneeling figure in a light cream jacket supports the blessing hand.
