A photograph of a seated man in a red-orange dhoti and bare chest, wearing a red-and-gold headband, a long rudraksha-style beaded necklace, and a gold ornament on his forehead, placing his right hand on the head of a young boy in a white kurta with a red shawl. The boy holds a small silver dish in his other hand. Behind them stand a peacock-feather fan, a silver staff, a tall golden deity murti of a lion-faced figure in the foreground, and a woman in white with a yellow forehead mark. Appearance-based probable Swamiji cues: long swept-back hair, red-and-gold headband, orange robes, ceremonial beaded necklace, and his role as the person giving blessing to the boy.2014-05-05May 31 20132013-05-31 +1 copiesA photograph of a long-haired man in saffron-orange draped cloth, bare-chested, wearing a beaded rudraksha-style mala and an ornate gold necklace, with a red kumkum mark on his forehead. He stands with eyes closed and places his right hand on the head of a young boy in a yellow-and-black striped sleeveless top, who looks down. He smiles as he places his right hand on the head of a young boy in a white shirt, red-thread wrist cord and beaded necklace, who kneels with his palms joined. Behind them a cobra-headed silver staff rests beside gilded lion-head armrests on a red throne, with red draperies behind. A woman in white sari stands at right. Swamiji (probable): the seated man has long swept-back hair, a gold garland and a bare-chested red robe, distinctive ceremonial cues, and is presented on a throne giving blessing.2014-07-24A seated man with long dark swept-back hair, orange-red robes, a thick gold beaded necklace, orange rudraksha-style mala and a red-orange vibhuti/tilak mark on his forehead rests his right hand on the head of a small child in a yellow t-shirt. Swamiji (probable): long hair, saffron-orange robes, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklaces, seated on a gold-and-orange peetha/throne, blessing the child. Two women in the foreground watch, one with her hair in a bun and gold earrings. A large portrait of a smiling woman with orange-red garments hangs behind, and a white-robed figure sits at the upper right. On the red cloth in front are small packets, a silver container and a bell-like object.2013-03-25July 12 20112011-07-12May 03 20142014-05-03A photograph of a seated man in a rust-red draped robe with a gold-toned beaded necklace and a gold hair ornament, his hair tied back in a bun, placing his right palm on the crown of a young boy's head. The boy in a light blue and white striped shirt stands with palms pressed together in namaskar, eyes lowered. Behind them, a woman in a red-brown sari and a white-clad attendant hold rudraksha malas, and several children in orange and red clothing stand in the background. On the right, a man in a brown and gold-bordered sannyasi-style garment wears a large gold bead necklace and rudraksha-style mala with a red mark on his forehead; he extends his right hand to bless the head of the devotee at the front. Behind them, women in saffron and cream saris and a decorated golden shrine arch with red and orange hangings stand in a festive room with screens on the sides. The scene suggests darshan and blessing; the central figure's identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2013-10-09May 01 20142014-05-01
