The figure wears an orange-red saffron cloth draped over the body and an orange-and-red patterned turban, with a red tilak on the forehead. Rudraksha beads hang across the chest. Garlands of yellow marigolds with pink and purple flowers drape from the shoulders to the base. The hands hold a snake-entwined staff or trident-like object and a flame-shaped emblem, and others are raised in blessing. Small carved figures appear at the base on a rock pedestal.

A black stone murti of Dakshinamurthi stands under a carved white stone arch set against a banyan tree canopy. The figure wears an orange-saffron cloth and a multi-coloured draped headcloth with a red tilak, with a rudraksha mala across the chest. Thick garlands of red, yellow and purple flowers hang from the shoulders to the base, and red flower petals lie on the dark stone plinth.
