Behind them, a man in white shirt and orange shawl and a man in white dhoti walk. To the left, a bearded man in orange-cream robe with red border leads. On the right, a man in white dhoti and white shirt stands with hands folded beside display shelves holding framed photographs, and a glass display case lies in the foreground. Many people in white ritual clothes crowd the room: boys and girls in white dhotis, kurtas and salwar-style outfits, several with orange-saffron shawls draped over their shoulders, and a few women in white sarees. Several are walking toward an open doorway. Framed photographs in orange-tinted frames hang on the walls, and a wooden desk with books and a small framed picture stands at the right. Ceiling fans and fluorescent tubes are visible overhead.2007-12-07A photograph inside a plain hall with a corrugated metal roof, white walls and a wooden floor. In the foreground at left, a small altar holds a lit oil lamp flame, a framed picture, flowers and brass lamps. A figure with long dark hair wearing an orange saffron robe stands centre-left with hands folded in namaste, facing the altar. Around them, about a dozen devotees stand in a semicircle with hands joined in prayer: several women in white saris, a woman in a yellow shawl at right, and men in white with orange shawls. The setting suggests a puja or aarti offering in an ashram hall.2008-10-09October 27 20082008-10-27A photograph of a group of devotees with palms pressed together in namaskar inside a bright, plain hall with a corrugated metal roof and white walls.
