November 20 20112011-11-20A photograph of an outdoor gathering on bare dry ground at dusk, with a row of trees and a red brick wall behind. Many people in white and light clothing stand and talk in loose groups; some wear white kurtas and dhotis, others saris in orange, yellow, grey and cream, and one woman with a long braid wears a yellow sari with a white border and carries a red bag. A white van is parked at left and a small green sign stands in the middle distance. No deity, throne or ritual activity is visible, and no figure is clearly identifiable as a person.2011-11-20Outdoor photo at dusk of a large group of devotees gathered in a loose circle on bare dirt ground beside a long white-railed fence with red brick base and palm trees behind. A white van is parked at the right.2011-11-20November 20 20112011-11-20An outdoor photograph on a dusty open ground showing a line of devotees walking together in a chain, many dressed in white with yellow or saffron shawls. In the foreground a bald man in white dhoti with a yellow shawl stands near a photographer. Behind them a saffron-robed monk in orange clothing walks among the group. Partly built concrete structure with rods rising from its roof stands in the background under cloudy skies, with trees and tents at the edges.2010-09-02A photograph of a large outdoor group gathered on a bare dry ground at dusk, many people standing in a loose circle with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, some holding small cups or offering items. Participants wear saris, salwar kameez, white kurtas and shirts, backpacks and bags. A white van, trees and a low wall with a sloped embankment sit behind them, with a white domed structure at the left edge. One man in a white shirt with a backpack stands near the centre-right with hands together.2011-11-20Outdoor evening scene at dusk beneath dark palm trees, with a large group of people standing in a loose semicircle on bare earth. Many women wear orange, red-bordered white, and yellow saris, while men wear white dhotis and shirts, saffron robes, and tan or pink shirts. Several people press their palms together in prayer. On the left, a man in saffron robes with a shaved head stands near a figure in orange robes, and a drum is visible in the middle of the group. Small stone figures and green shrubs line the ground at the left. Several people are visible in the background. The orange-robed figure on the left has a shaved head and a short beard, which does not meet the cue threshold for identification, so no identification is made.2010-11-21Outdoor photo at dusk of a large crowd gathered on dry open ground beside a white railed walkway and tiered red-brick terrace. Many people stand in a loose circle listening to a speaker in a white shirt with a lanyard near the centre. Women wear saris and salwar kameez in orange, teal, red and maroon, and men wear white shirts and backpacks. A white van is parked behind them and a camera operator kneels at the lower left. Trees and a red boundary wall sit in the background under a pale evening sky.2011-11-20Night photograph of a large crowd standing in an open dirt ground under a dark sky with a silhouetted tree line behind them. Many people wear white ritual clothing: men in white dhotis and shirts, some in light blue shirts, and women in white saris, plus a few in pink, blue, orange and green saris. Several women wear orange shawls. Most stand with hands folded or arms crossed, facing toward the left edge of the frame where a light glows. Floodlight poles stand in the background. The gathering is large and fills the width of the frame.2006-12-20Outdoor photograph of a large crowd gathered on a bare dusty ground under a pale evening sky with palm trees and a row of trees behind them. In the foreground at left, a long-haired figure in a flowing saffron-orange robe stands facing the crowd, seen from behind, with the sandals visible. The gathered devotees, mostly in white ritual clothes with some in pink, green, blue and red saris and kurtas, stand with palms pressed together in anjali. A man in white holds a camera near the middle of the group, and children stand among the adults at left. Lamp-like objects are not clearly visible on the ground. Consistent with a satsang gathering on the evening of Krishna Janmashtami, though only the saffron-robed figure's cues are visible; identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2010-09-02August 05 20092009-08-05Outdoor photo at dusk of a large crowd standing in rows on bare dirt ground with palms in the background. Many people in front have their hands joined in namaskar or anjali mudra. Women wear saffron and orange saris and white saris with yellow or red borders; men wear white kurtas, white dhotis and khaki shirts, one in an orange shirt. A tall yellow pole on the right holds a decorated cloth banner with colorful floral patterns and orange fringe, near a red metal framework. The scene suggests a ritual gathering, but no specific person is clearly identifiable as a person.2010-11-21
